The Brenton Arboretum is located between Dallas Center, Waukee, and Adel in Central Iowal. There are two routes to the Arboretum.

1. Take Hwy 6, turn north between Waukee and Adel on R 16 (the sign says Dallas Center), go 3 miles to the sign for the Arboretum and turn west on 260th St., a gravel road; from there, the Arboretum is 1.3 miles away.
   
2. From Des Moines, take Hickman Road west through Waukee and turn North on R16, which is 3.5 miles west of Waukee.
